All of Holland is building, Infra as well!

BAM Infra recently showed its ‘greenest’ side at the Building Holland fair for the construction and real estate sectors. Why were we present? That’s simple: a good built environment needs good infrastructure. And what's more: the fair focussed on building the future of the Netherlands, based on the latest new trends and developments.

Only building company with an Infra division
So it is logical that our colleagues of BAM Infra Energie & Water co-manned the stand of our BAM Bouw & Vastgoed colleagues. And they drew a lot of visitors! BAM was the only builder that had brought along an Infra division. Our BAM colleagues told visitors everything about our smart energy concepts, sustainable area developments and ground-breaking innovations. And besides manning our stand, we also actively took part in the daily knowledge programme on the various stages.

Smart clean mobility
BAM Infra Nederland's Bramske van Beijma (Energy Transition & Innovation Manager) and Roy Kat (Business Development Manager) talked about the EV Desk, facilitating smart clean mobility in the built environment. The green core of their story? Real estate projects can no longer do without a smart mobility plan.

Bramske: ‘Electric vehicles have gained momentum these past few years. BAM Infra Energie & Water installs charging facilities for electric vehicles: at people's homes, on industrial estates and in public spaces. We work together with several parties: charger manufacturers, municipal executives and back office holders for billing the electricity use from the charging stations.’

Roy added: ‘We installed quick chargers in the Netherlands and Belgium for car producer Tesla. We are now looking into the possibility of not only installing charging stations, but also implementing the storage and generation of sustainable energy, including a troubleshooting service and maintenance.’

Black tie with a green touch
The icing on the cake was when the number 1 position on the Sustainable Top 50 was awarded to Thomas Rau, Managing Director of RAU Architecten and founder of Madaster during the Green Tie Gala on Wednesday night. CEO Rob van Wingerden took position 24 in this Sustainable Top 50. And - a newcomer on the list - Bramske stormed to position 31. Two BAM employees in the Sustainable Top 50!
